Basketball was introduced at King Edward VII School in 1968 and has grown from strength to strength. It is a fast growing sport and is extremely popular amongst the boys and supporters. Basketball at King Edward VII School is played as a full summer sport in the first and fourth terms of the year and we are part of schoolboy leagues in Johannesburg and Pretoria.

A couple of hundred boys represent KES throughout all the age groups: U14 (5 Teams), Under 15 (5 Teams), Under 16 (5 Teams) and Opens (6 Teams).

Our boys benefit from excellent facilities, coaching, regular competitions and basketball festivals. The School now has four dedicated basketball courts.
